| The
Interior was in decent shape. Both front seats had rips and the seams were
splitting in the back. The head liner was ripped and the dome light was
missing. The ignition key was missing and the lock was destroyed. The door
panels and sun visors are moldy but otherwise fine. The dash has one crack
and will be used as is. The key switch was purchased from Discount Auto
Parts. The new headliner is from Year One. The new seat covers are from
Legendary Auto Interiors. The carpet is from the Paddock. |

The old
headliner was removed as were the sun visors, shoulder belts and rear view
mirror. The new headliner fit like original equipment. I installed a new
dome light I retrieved from a salvage yard. I soaked all the seatbelts in
a laundry soap solution for a week. They came out much cleaner with only a
few small rust stains. The new seat covers fit tight. The floor molded
carpet doesn't look like the exact original style loop pattern but it's
close. |
| The
original door panels cleaned up nicely. I gave all the plastic panels
(lower door, kick, etc.) a light coat of black vinyl dye to hide some
slight sun fading. While the door panels were off I decided to try my hand
at tinting the windows. I used 35% tint on the front door windows and 5%
on the rear side and back glass. All that's missing now is a new latch for
the glove box and rear ash tray for the console. |
